Welcome To My Clinic!

I'm Carmen Lei

Accredited Practising Clinical Dietitian

My approach goes beyond simply giving you a meal plan.

At Carmen Lei Dietitian, I combine personalised nutrition care, lifestyle medicine, and evidence-informed clinic-grade supplement support when suitable. Food and lifestyle are always the foundation. Supplements are only considered when they are appropriate for your condition, with a clear purpose, dosage, and monitoring plan.

My goal is to help you recover better, maintain your progress long term, and feel more confident in the choices you make every day.

I also believe food should still feel joyful.

Healthy eating should not mean losing your culture, favourite flavours, or the comfort of meals you love. I want to help you build the kind of “nutrition data” in your head that makes food choices feel easier, whether you are at the supermarket, ordering out, cooking at home, travelling, or sharing meals with people you love.

I’m here to explain the “why” behind your care, not just tell you what to do.

Whether you are here for weight loss, gut symptoms, blood sugar management, cholesterol support, heart health, fertility preparation, sexual health, or long-term prevention, my hope is that you feel listened to, understood, and guided with care.

Warm first. Clinical always.
That is the heart of Carmen Lei Dietitian.

My Dietetic Journey (so far)

The path that shaped my clinical practice today

Bachelor in 'Food & Nutritional Science' at HKU

As someone who loved food but grew up with a sensitive gut and weak immunity, I became curious about why certain foods could affect my body so much. That curiosity led me to study Food & Nutritional Science, with a minor in Psychology, at The University of Hong Kong.

Applying Nutrition to My Own Life

As I started applying what I was learning to my own life, nutrition became more than something I enjoyed studying. I realised this was the career that truly felt aligned with who I was and the kind of work I wanted to do.

Master of Nutrition and Dietetics at USYD

I later moved to Australia to complete my Masters at the University of Sydney, where I trained as a dietitian and built the clinical foundation of my practice.

Collecting Clinical Experience

Since then, I have worked across hospitals, clinics, private practice, research, and telehealth, supporting clients with weight concerns, gut symptoms, diabetes, high cholesterol, heart health, chronic disease risk, and long-term lifestyle change. But sometimes I felt progress was slower than I hoped, and that taught me: diet changes are the foundation, but not always the whole picture.

Research & Lifestyle Medicine

That led me to become a researcher certified in Lifestyle Medicine, which changed the way I practised. My care expanded beyond food to include sleep, stress, movement, daily habits, & routines, making changes feel more realistic, sustainable, and long term. I later became Hong Kong Manager for Lifestyle Medicine certification, where I helped introduce the certification for local physicians and healthcare professionals.

One more Missing Piece: Supplement Support

To build a more complete care model, I began sourcing clinic-grade supplements that could be integrated into treatment when clinically appropriate. The goal was to add a targeted layer of support that may help clients recover better, maintain progress, and receive care beyond nutrition advice alone.

Carmen Lei Dietitian Today

Today, my clinic combines clinical nutrition, lifestyle medicine, and clinic-grade supplement support. I’m building the kind of care I wish existed: care that is warm, practical, evidence-informed, and built around real life, not just another meal plan.
